Yojimbo - Tool Or Nuiscance
I have been using Yojimbo for electronic filing, mainly of PDFs for bills and credit cards, etc.
Now that mac has Cover Flow, Yojimbo seems like an added complication. I am going to try and just store stuff in the file system in appropriately named folders and see how that goes. OSX Search and Cover Flow make it pretty easy to view/scan/find stuff just like Yojimbo. With SpotlightFS for macfuse this might be even easier.
Yojimbo (despite advertisements) does not sync well across devices or computers. It looks like evernote might, but how badly do I need this? I could always use RSync, and hack something to store the precious few things I want portable on a PDA or IPOD or online somewhere. Or maybe use JungleDisk…
