Yahoo pipes is an interesting idea. You can create “Mashups” from different sources. I suppose they might be useful if you wanted to aggregate several feeds into one and display the result on your own website. I looked through many pipes and could not find a useful application. Trying out Google Sites again (previously tried as JotSpot). It is ok. I think Wiki Syntax would be easier than monkeying around with their UI.
But the hosting convenience is great.

A family members outlook was silently crashing after every IMAP synchronization. We had previously uninstalled everything Norton from his Windows XP Install. Uninstalling his anti-spyware software seemed to correct the problem.
If they don’t provide this already, I predict Google App Engine and Amazon EC2 will both add an engine based on
Pi Calculus in year 2011. And someone will build their own on Google App Engine long before.
