Why I use Shaw rather than StarChoice.
This article at 37 signals says it well. I found the navigation too slow on my StarChoice tuner - it took way to long to move from channel to channel, and didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a PVR where I feared the same might happen.
Shaw’s PVR is fast navigation-wise. Quirky at times though.
