Updating Fink on OSX
To update Fink, to update GNU Cash, I need to update XCode.
I couldn’t remembe what XCode was and was afraid it had something to do with XWindows — I would hate to try and get that going again.
XCode turns out to be a 1G download from apple that Fink needs to build and install packages - something end-users like me would prefer never to think about, let alone spend time waiting for.
