Can I Trust Rsync?
I run rsync in an attempt to backup my mac and receive this disturbing message at the end:
sent 8138584784 bytes received 140460 bytes 6186792.28 bytes/sec
total size is 43065400388 speedup is 5.29
rsync error: some files could not be transferred (code 23) at /SourceCache/rsync/rsync-24/rsync/main.c(717)

Can I rely on my backup made with rsync? I somehow doubt it.
I could sure use a tool like NTBackup or dump. Maby Apple System Restore is the way to go?
Windows and Linux both seem to have clear options for user backups. I am not sure that a typical mac user can back up their data (unless they use a .mac account). I am suspecting they can’t and don’t.
