Blackberry Desktop Breaks
I installed the Blackberry Desktop, then tried three times to install the service pack. Three times I had to hard-reset my PC, so I have given up on the service pack.
Synchronized the address book and tasks, deleted 200 tasks from outlook no longer relevant and resynced. It seemed to work. That is handy.
It is not particularly user friendly, but you can filter tasks organized by categories. I am not sure if I am going to use this or stay with a hipster PDA. Part of the problem is I use Lotus Notes at work. Notes really doesn’t work well for tasks or GTD - certainly not on the same plane as Outlook. For example, when you complete a task, you it still clutters the view you might create for a next-action category (i.e. @work) - you have to delete it if you don’t want to see it anymore, which loses the record of doing and completing the task. There are notes plug-ins for GTD, but there is no way for me to install one. Plus Lotus tasks probably won’t sync to the Blackberry.
