PDF Trials on Windows Mobile

I have been using pdftohtml to convert pdf documents to html, and sometimes then to plucker, so I can use them on my PDA. I have been finding some PDFs just do not convert - most of the text is missing. Same result with pdftotext.

Acrobat doesn’t present documents in a useful manner. I tried the foxit trial version and ClearVue pdf. Foxit pretty much doesn’t work at all (I think its beta) and ClearVue just isn’t useful — you can’t read the document in flow mode (like a book).

If pdftohtml doesn’t work, I immediately give up on trying to view PDF documents on my pda. There is no solution.

I’d pay about $20 for a Pocket PC program that presented PDFs both in flow and page layout mode. I bet a lot of people would.

Have you checked out the latest Adobe Reader for Pocket PC 2.0? Although I found the earlier Palm version to be too bloated to use, perhaps the latest Pocket PC version is better? The key feature would be something like the ‘text flow view’ that Documents to Go for the Palm OS has.
