ActiveSync class action

The web is full of testimonials about ActiveSync like:
If I sound bitter, then its because I feel that I have a right to feel this way. I effectively wasted $700 on a WM5 PDA that has caused me to waste DAYS of time and constantly lose data.

ActiveSync again

. No hint at what is wrong at all, not even a 32 bit hexadecimal COM error code. Is it the PDA? Is it ActiveSync? Who knows.

Converting PDF to HTML or RTF With Preview

I found with the Preview program on Mac OSX, I can select the entire text and paste into TextEdit and then save as RTF or HTML. This is find for most of the material I read (no images of significance in the PDFs).
Unfortunately, plucker documents seem garbeled in VadeMecum even though inspection of the [...]

PDF Trials on Windows Mobile

I have been using pdftohtml to convert pdf documents to html, and sometimes then to plucker, so I can use them on my PDA. I have been finding some PDFs just do not convert - most of the text is missing. Same result with pdftotext.

Plucker on Windows Mobile

I broke down and finally tried the Vade Mecum Plucker reader on my Pocket PC despite the fact its in alpha release. I installed the latest “experimental” alpha release rather than the more stable plain-vanilla alpha release. I think the author just never plans to release it as beta or release software. [...]

Canadian Political Party Web Content.

The NDP have an RSS feed for their web site .
The Liberals have one too.
The Conservatives have 10.
The Green party have a blog but nothing for press releases, position papers etc.
The bloc do not appear to have an RSS or Atom feed.
All the sites use html tables for a lot of their layout. [...]

What Defines Canadians?

Murray Dobbin writes in Be an ‘Intentional Citizen’ :
That is why such an overwhelming majority of citizens consider Medicare — a powerful example of equality in action — as the defining characteristic of our nation.
That’s sadly reinforced by all the partys’ platforms in their current campaigns. There have to be more important [...]
