Failed WRT54G Firmware Upgrade
I tried to upgrade my Linksys WRT54G to the recently released Sveasoft Talisman Firmware Version 1.1.
The upgrade failed, leaving a dead router. This is not the first time this had happened to me.
Recovery was fairly simple - See the instructions at http://www.research.earthlink.net/ipv6/recovery.html
. Most of the settings were retained. The one trick was that once the router rebooted after the upgrade it changed its IP address back to what it was configured before (in my case 192.168.64.1) from 192.168.1.1 that it uses during the tftp firmware upload.
